ZANYAR OTHMAN HUSSEIN

Master's student

I am currently studying for my master’s degree in molecular biotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. I received the prestigious NAWA Stefan Banach Scholarship, which supports my studies.

My academic journey began in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tishk International University in 2021. During my bachelor's studies, I completed a thesis on "Mutational Profiles of Familial Mediterranean Fever in Kurdistan Region-Iraq." This research sparked my interest in genetic mutations and their impact on health.

After graduation, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Biology department at Tishk International University for two years. In this role, I gained valuable experience and developed a strong foundation in scientific research.

I am now a member of the Azuma group, where I am excited to delve into the design of protein cages. I believe that the knowledge and skills I acquire will greatly contribute to my future scientific study.

In my free time, I love to travel and explore new places. I am also passionate about giving back to my community and inspiring the next generation in Kurdistan.
